Just like in the real world, the poor shall whine and cry out for "justice", "Equality", "steak and ales" lol. Sorry folks, everyone can't be rich, that's part of the game too. For those of us with unlimited time on our hands the economy belongs to us. So, get out there and grind grind grind for your pennies and nickels and prepare to pay the dollars and plat for what you want. > That's just part of the game, supply (I suppy it) and demand (you demand it so pay the price).

All your monies are belong to us. hahahahaha

Red, don't be a jerk. This isn't designed to be a game like that. Go play Effing Everquest, as a poster up there referred to it. This game has been from conception intended to nurture both people with more time on thier hands than life, and the casual gamer who wants to come home from working all day and whale on stuff with a sword.
As for people who say give them time, yeah I understand that, but THEY HAVE WORKING CODE. When I started the traders worked bloody fine, it's only recently they're screwed all to hell and back. Rollback to the old trader code until they fix the new stuff!

I say take out the RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing NPC vendors (aside from the merchants) and be done with it.
Let people dictate the goddamn supply and demand, not some shit-headed NPC who will pay 1/1000 of what he sells something for. It's the vendors that are really throwing the economy into decay. Sure they may have brought down the price of superior vigors/absorbtions, but have you looked at the prices of MINORS now?
I used to sell them for 200-400 each. Now most of them cost over a thousand.

I know the problem here.. because I encountered the exploiter. Somehow, he's managed to find a way to buy items from traders at no cost. This is why Black Dye got up as high as it did. He bought tons and tons and tons of black dye, for free, knowing that it's the most visually appealing colour. He then sold it for about half the price. Everyone thought it was a deal, but he was hosinh the entire economy. I tried to report it, but something got messed up along the way. I still may have screenshots of him admitting it all to me.

If that's true, let's hope the bug will be fixed within the next 24 hours.

Black is appealing? Since when?
Is looks good on some armor (mesmer's enchanter's attire e.g), but that's about it.

You tried?
What's to try?
You do, or you don't.
And even if you do have screenshots of your converstation: What makes you think the guy told the truth?

What economy. i dont see an economy. all i see is items for sale to the people with 105 monks. I jumped on this bandwagon of sky rocketing prices. Once a day i write down the sell prices for crafting materials. Yesterday Granite Slabs X10 were going for 100gold. Sounds small but they have been at a flat 30gold for days. i sold out. And the runes well forget buying runes. 3 days ago i was going to buy sup fire for my ele. It was 9k at the moment. Eh reasonable. I didnt have the change at the time so i started saving the extra 4k i needed. Go back next day. 15k WTF 15k FOR AN ELE RUNE!!. go back today 25k WTF 25k FOR AN ELE RUNE!!. so ya ive prety much given up. Sadly Sup mesmer runes are or were basicly free.

Anybody remember when you could buy black off of a plyer for 4k. yellow 100. silver 500. That was big money back then. now thats pocket change. What has this turned into

The economy is RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOed - kill the NPC traders. Or at least, for the love of god, reset the damn things.

And if you encouraged an exploit, shame on you *waggles finger*
